The concept for this penthouse in Špindlerův mlýn emerged from its unique location and the stunning beauty of the surrounding nature. To create a space which serves as a place of retreat from the stressful City of Prague for a family with two children, was the architectural ambition. At the same time, great emphasis was placed on natural materials – solid wood, fabrics with high proportion of natural ingredients and anthracite metal. Due to the open disposition of the space, it was possible to use half-transparent materials – sheet metal lamellae – for the creation of a visually connection of the living areas, in which it was suitable. The interior is rounded up with the use of brass sheet in the details on the skirting, door fittings and lighting.
